Shining Soon: Sterling Silver Gold

I know it is kind of weird sounding and you might be thinking, “What on earth is a sterling silver gold?”

Well, it is just a lovely trend in jewelry making in design. Makers of these specialties use gold as plating or additional details to sterling silver pieces, making the already beautiful silver jewelry even prettier.

I, myself, am not too big of a fan of gold pieces, especially the yellow ones, but after seeing sterling silver gold jewelry and luxury goods, I just can’t stop ogling them, I almost drool!

It is kind of amazing, though, how this has escaped the mainstream. I mean, it is such a good rip off for gold pieces. As sterling silver is much cheaper than gold in most parts of the world (of course except the Middle East), plating and detailing it with gold instead of using pure gold in the whole piece is a really wise idea. Just imagine how pretty and elegant you could be with gold jewelry for a lower price as pieces can start from thirteen dollars in online stores.

Online shops like eBay, MSN Shopping, and thefind.com hold a wide variety of available sterling silver gold items for sale. Pieces include earrings, necklaces, rings, bracelets and bangles, charms, key chains, pendants, wrist watches, and even a Bridge set (made by Hermes).

My personal favorite is the reversible necklace. With sterling silver on one side and gold on the other, who can say that elegant jewelry can’t be fun? I am just so psyched about these pieces; I’m definitely adding these babies to my wish list.
